WCTM had a physical newsletter for longer than most of us are members or teachers. And for a few years, WCTM had no newsletter. Our electronic newsletter was born during the 2008 Annual NCTM Conference in Salt Lake City. Those who manned the WCTM table in the exhibitor's area had just started their eager recruiting of members when a young teacher from western Wyoming asked what she got for her dues, specifically, whether or not she would receive a newsletter. Those at the table looked at each other, hesitated, and then promised an electronic post.
